Argonaut Mine

DSCN1977

We had the honor and pleasure of being one of only two paranormal teams allowed to investigate the Argonaut Mine.

Located in a residential area in Jackson CA it was one of the worst mining disasters in United State history. In 1922 a fire ripped through the mine killing 47 miners in it’s path. It took 2 1/2 days to put out the fire and 22 days to recover the bodies. Many of the bodies were removed through the adjacent Kennedy mine, a long time competitor. There were connecting tunnels which ran between the mines that had been closed in 1919 due to a previous fire.
